Have you ever run your hand down a rack of clothing and suddenly touched a piece of clothing that felt different from the rest?
That’s the experience we had the first time we touched a piece of sample fabric from Carvico. Founded in 1962, this women-owned company is named after the village in Italy where it all began. Specializing in stretch warp knitted and circular knitted fabrics for sportswear, beachwear and underwear, we knew Carvico would help us produce quality pieces that empowered women to look good and feel good. We believe that texture is everything when it comes to premium fabrics. KINONA opted to use higher-end fabrics not for higher prices but because we strongly believe our customers deserve optimal comfort and performance. When you wear KINONA’s golf clothes, you’ll notice that comfort that you just don’t get from other cheaper women’s golf clothes.
At KINONA, sustainability is more than just a buzzword. Most of our clothing incorporates regenerated ECONYL ® fiber, made of pre and post-consumer waste (nylon scraps / fishnets and carpet fluff). ECONYL ® helps reduce the global warming impact of nylon by up to 90%. For every 10,000 tons of ECONYL raw material, the company saves 70,000 barrels of crude oil and avoids 57,100 tons of CO2 eq. Emissions.
It’s been a continued mission to ensure that all of KINONA’s women’s golf clothes are sustainable and recyclable.
Women-led Business for Women’s Golf Clothes
As a brand focused on the empowerment of women everywhere, we made it a priority to source fabric from other women-owned businesses. The president of Carvico, Laura Colnaghi Calissoni, has grown the company to 830 employees and expanded into new markets since taking the reins after her husband, the company’s founder, passed away in 2005.
Traditionally, fabric sourcing has been dominated by men, and we’re invested in advancing the notion that women can run the entire clothing supply chain, from textile manufacturing to the clothing rack.
You see, it’s not just that we’re women and we want power, it’s actually the opposite. We’re women and we want to inspire and support other women. We produce the highest quality women’s golf tops, dresses, skorts, etc - with the end goal in mind of providing a unique and comforting experience. We’re sure that when you first try KINONA you’ll feel your confidence increase.
