LPGA Girls Golf

KINONA is a proud sponsor of LPGA Girls Golf

Each year Kinona donates to LPGA Girls Golf, also known as Girls Golf. Girls Golf is a non-profit junior program whose mission is to inspire girls to dream big while learning the game of golf. Founded in 1989 by a passionate LPGA Teaching Professional and mother of two daughters, Sandy Labauve, Girls Golf has since grown to reach more than 80,000 girls through over 500 communities across the country.

For KINONA, golf is also more than just a game - it’s an opportunity to engage with the community, and break down institutional barriers facing women in sports.  Girls Golf is “not your typical girls golf program” - their passion for the sport is paired with creativity.  Teaching the FUNdamentals of golf sometimes means meeting professional women in golf, and sometimes hosting a pirate-themed golf competition.

“Creativity is Queen when it comes to Girls Golf, and we're not afraid to think outside of the box!” - Laura Diaz, Girls Golf Foundation Operations

KINONA has Queens in their community - and they also think outside the box.  In the newly established Queen of the Green program, KINONA’s most loyal customers recently directed $1800 in donations to Girls Golf as their membership gifts. Tami Fujii and Dianne Jefferies, co-founders of KINONA know that while there are countless life skills to be found in the game, it’s the fun and sisterhood that make it priceless.

That’s why this partnership feels so right to both parties, and why you’ll surely see KINONA and Girls Golf finding opportunities to encourage more girls - and women - to get out on the green and have a good time.
