SPF Clothing
Sun protection doesn't come easy but at Kinona we want it to be easy for you on and off the course. Our fabrics have a UPF50+ sun protection rating.
What does that mean? To achieve a UPF 50 rating, a fabric must effectively block at least 98% of UV radiation. We partner with leading fabric manufacturers to bring the latest precision and sun protection technology to our clothing.
Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) indicates how much UV radiation (both UVB and UVA) a fabric allows to reach your skin. UPF 50 fabric blocks 98 percent of the sun's rays and allows two percent (1/50th) to penetrate, thus reducing your exposure risk significantly.
Our premium Italian fabrics are a combination of fabrics like ECONYL (high quality regenerated nylon) and Lycra (similar to swimwear). Not only do they provide optimal sun protection, but cooling, antimicrobial, moisture wicking and four way stretch. This built-in performance makes you more comfortable on those warm, sunny days.
